Frequently Asked Questions
Creator networks are compensated from the percent that TikTok takes from creators at the same amount whether you are in an agency or not. So nothing comes directly from the creators. Creator networks are compensated based on their support to creators. TLDR: It's free to you, in fact with the bonuses and give-backs we have for creators, you can end up ahead.
goTether will never pressure any creator to participate in any tournaments and battles. However, if creators sign up for battles and tournaments, they should make every effort to make the event. Other creators are relying on participation from their opponents. Many creators have their teams preparing for days and weeks ahead, so this ends up being a huge disappointment to both the creator and their community. So out of mutual respect, if you sign up for a tournament or a battle, you should make every effort to be there. If something comes up, your coach or manager will help you to find an alternative creator to potentially take the spot. It's also important to note that TikTok does create metrics and dashboards for the creator network to ensure that their creators are hitting stream times and diamonds. However, goTether will be transparent about these requirements so you can manage your brand and community accordingly. But creators can find many other ways to set goals within their community outside of the traditional battles and tournaments. And your coach can help you figure out the right path for your goals.
Yes. TikTok sets requirements — creators with too many diamonds or followers may not qualify. The best way is to apply directly. Our team will review and guide you through your options.
Absolutely. Every tool we offer — training, strategy, matchmaking, analytics, and coaching — is designed to help you grow. But Live Pro requires more than just diamonds; it's about building a strong community, too.
TikTok's official policy is that creators are able to leave their creator networks in a few ways. When you first sign with an agency, you have 15 days to leave the agency immediately. After that period, agencies can require a 30-day notice, and there is often a 30-day cool-down period after leaving the agency. There are circumstances in which your agency can allow you to transfer without notice, but this depends on the relationship with your agency.
As far as goTether is concerned, we will never hold a creator hostage or require them to do any extra steps if they want to leave the agency. Our mission is to create a place in which people want to stay and build their brands and communities.
TikTok does have pretty clear rules about poaching. So our agency will not reach out directly to creators if it's known that they are a part of an agency already. Creators should discuss with their creator network their desire to leave.
Please note that requests to leave are officially made through your TikTok app in the TikTok live portal. See the graphic below for more details. This is also where you can see the official policy around transfers and resignations from TikTok directly.

Technically, no. You can stream without one. But an agency like GoTether provides:
- •Resources (training, matchmaking, brand tools).
- •Connections (support for battles, tournaments, collabs).
- •Support (help with TikTok bans, violations, or escalations).
- •Community (creators tethered together).
Agencies should make your journey easier. If they don't — they aren't worth it.
